Position Overview

Federated/Fiducial is looking for a Payroll Processor for their Federated office in Springfield, IL. The payroll department manages payroll for over 200 clients across the country. This position reports directly to the Payroll Manager and based on performance, will progressively accept more responsibilities with the opportunity for advancement.

The Payroll Processor  works in a team environment and is responsible for the complete payroll cycle and various administrative duties. In addition to processing payrolls this position will learn all aspects of the department operations in order to assist the Payroll Manager and serve as a resource for resolving client issues and answering client questions. The Payroll Processor will interface with our clients on a daily basis and will be responsible for insuring a positive customer experience.  


Desired Skills/Experience/Attributes

  • A minimum of 5 or more years of payroll experience in a high volume environment
  • Proven experience in payroll tax reporting and reconciliation
  • Proven track record of solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of variables in situations
  • Proven ability to handle a high-volume workload at a high level of efficiency.
  • Experience using various payroll or accounting software applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience preparing clients payroll from start to finish including the verification and payment of federal, state & local taxes.
  • Must know how to process payroll manually without the assistance of software.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations\

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or other business-related field preferred
