Position Overview

Fiducial is looking for a CPA / Senior Manager, Tax and Technical Services for their Corporate Office in Columbia MD.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting the business operations of Fiducial’s field offices by overseeing technical research, tax training, tax planning,  reviewing complex returns, ensuring compliance, and working on special technical projects.

This position may require approximately 15% travel throughout the US to Fiducial’s field offices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of tax control processes across the North American operations 
  • Design and oversee tax training and technical initiatives
  • Development and training of staff
  • Maintain quality assurance for all technical services
  • Execute tax planning strategies, review and preparation of complex tax returns, and working on technical projects.
  • Demonstration of technical tax competencies with individual, S corporation, estate, and partnership matters.
  • Provide research, support, and guidance on tax issues to field office personnel and clients.
  • Creation and enhancement of procedures to drive efficiency.
  • Other technical duties as assigned.

Desired Skills/ Experience/Attributes

  • 10+ years of experience in a tax leadership role
  • Hands-on experience reviewing and preparing individual and business tax returns.
  • Experience with tax control and tax quality assurance.
  • CCH Axcess experience preferred.
  • Has a history of building strong and consistent relationships with clients and colleagues with a great sense of customer service.
  • Is a leader with a keen ability to work with peers, staff, and senior management collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has exceptional organizational and time management skills and thrives in a service culture.

 Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or other business-related field
  • Active CPA license required
